My daughter and I were messing around and when she wanted to apply shihonage on me I thought it would be funny to grab her opposite wrist because I knew it would throw her off (I keep complaining she’s been neglecting her Aikido training). It did and it was!! HOWEVER… apparently I didn’t remember how to proceed to shihonage from kosadori as well - a complete blackout! It took me a good few minutes to figure it out eventually and along with it came a feeling of great humility. No matter how much experience we have we’re always beginners, always learning and trying to figure things out.
